With the college football season coming to an end, the bowl games are starting. There are 35 games that will take place starting December 18 and lasting until January 10. One of the most anticipated games is between Auburn and Oregon, who will be competing for the BCS Championship.

Throughout this season, both teams have performed well. Auburn’s record is spotless. The Tigers won all 13 games on their schedule, earning the number one spot in the national rankings. Oregon is undefeated this season as well. The Ducks are ranked number two for the 12 games they have won this season.

Fans are predicting that the game will produce high scores and be a tough win for either team. Both teams have a strong offense and a top-ranked player. The Tigers have QB Cam Newton, while the Ducks have running back LaMichael James. Newton has led the Tigers to many wins this season. He threw 28 touchdowns with only six interceptions the entire season. Newton scored 20 touchdowns on his own, rushing for 1409 yards. James scored 21 touchdowns for a total of 1786 yards. He averaged 158.2 yards per game.

The game will be held in Glendale, Arizona, and will be the first time that either team has competed for the BCS Championship title. This game will also be the first time the teams have met on the football field. For the fifth consecutive season, the South Eastern Conference (SEC) had a team in the Championship game.

No one expected either team to contend for the Championship after their performance last season. Auburn began last season with five consecutive wins, but then lost five of its last six games. Oregon lost its Heisman contending QB Jeremiah Masoli after he was arrested last spring. Since the season started, fans were surprised to see how the teams have improved from last year. This is one game fans will not want to miss.
