Lauren Conrad, or L.C. as many people know her, started her career in 2004 with MTV’s hit show Laguna Beach. When the show came to an end in 2006, Lauren Conrad did not let anything stop her. She continued to shine with her own show, The Hills. This show was a huge hit on MTV for many years; however Conrad decided to end her on-screen life in 2009 and left The Hills behind. The show continued for one more season with Kristen Cavallari taking the place of Conrad, but true Hills fans know, the show just wasn’t the same without L.C.

While MTV may be to thank for Conrad’s international fame, that’s not all of which she is capable. Since the end of The Hills, Conrad has managed to been seen in other ways than just from behind the T.V. screen. She has become a best-selling author with her books L.A. Candy, Sweet Little Lies, and Sugar and Spice. Rumors say that her first book, L.A. Candy, may be turned into a movie. Conrad also has her own fashion line, L.C., available at Kohls, and has another on the way.

When Conrad announced her departure to MTV in 2009, viewers were devastated. Many were convinced that it was the last of her T.V. appearances. However, Conrad has decided that she is not done with reality T.V. after all. Insiders for U.S. Weekly magazine have announced that Conrad is going to have her own reality show. Not only is she getting a new show, but the networks have been fighting for it. This show will be relatively different than what viewers are used to with all the back stabbing and drama seen in The Hills.  “The only way I’d return to reality T.V. would be if it allowed me to decide when the cameras stop,” Conrad said in an interview with U.S. Weekly.

Conrad has not confirmed the date to the show, or the name. She has only said that her personal life would be off-limits, and that the show would focus mainly on her professional life. Judging by her past performances, this show will be something to see. So Conrad fans, be on the look out for her next small-screen break out.
