In the beginning of 2011, Charlie Sheen was a huge phenomenon when it came to the tabloids, and not always for the best of reasons. One could say that Sheen went on a rampage. He successfully trashed a hotel room one night while he was on vacation with his ex-wife and two children. The actor’s behavior eventually caused him to lose his job on the hit reality television show “Two and a Half Men.” Shortly after, CBS revealed that the young actor, Ashton Kutcher, would be starring as a new character on the sitcom.

As the shooting has already taken off, Kutcher has created a new look for himself. When the actor appeared on “The Late Show with David Letterman,” Kutcher had grown his hair out considerably and took a liking to facial hair. “It’s part of ‘Two and a Half Men.’ Believe it or not, they requested this,” Kutcher told Letterman. The young star plays a character that goes by the name of Walden Schmidt that ends up buying Charlie’sMalibuhouse. He plays the role of a young billionaire who is going through a nasty divorce and is simply crushed over the whole ordeal. “I’m very heartbroken over this breakup that’s taken place. The breakup with my wife and I may, in some way, shape, or form, be trying to kill myself.”

After Kutcher’s interview with Letterman, fans of “Two and a Half Men” did not find the new “twist” to the show to be all that amusing. In more ways than others, the new storyline of the show is headed down a darker path. The new season starts off with the funeral of Sheen’s character. However, the producers of the show are trying to keep as many details secret as long as they can.

Kutcher admitted that his character is so heartbroken, that it leads him to ponder upon the idea of suicide. The actor begged to differ, “I think it’s going to go through the roof, I really do.” Kutcher told Letterman that it would be the same show as in the past, but with just different dynamics. Soon, viewers will be able to say whether or not the addition of Kutcher to the television show’s family was a bright idea or not.
