The Fort Mill High School Dance Team holds a fundraiser every year around Christmas time. It’s called Breakfast with Santa! On December 11, 2010 this fundraiser will be held in F109, the dance room, from 9-11AM. The dance team girls have been working very hard for the last four weeks to promote their fundraiser. They have hung up signs all over Fort Mill.

“Every year there are always a ton of children who attend and love it,” Liz Dukes commented. FMHS Dance Team Coach and teacher for the Dance courses at FMHS, “I always get emails from previous attendees weeks ahead of time, already wanting to buy their tickets to be sure they can bring their children and grandchildren.” Tickets for Breakfast with Santa are $5.00 for children and $8.00 for adults. There are breakfast foods, of course, and Santa is there to take wishes from the children.

The money earned from this fundraiser helps to fund the Dance Team’s trip to Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida the first weekend of February for their Nationals with UDA, Universal Dance Alliance. The dance team qualified to attend and compete at the nationals over the summer at their mandatory UDA Camp, when they won first place in a preliminary competition against other high school dance teams at the camp. This is the first time in a while since our very own dancers have been able to go to the nationals, This gives them the opportunity to appear on ESPN and represent Fort Mill High School! They are already half way there on the funds for the trip, but they still need more help

So come out and support your Fort Mill Lady Jacket Dancers and help them earn the money for this amazing opportunity. Tickets are limited, so get yours today.
