Leave it alone

In the past few weeks, it seems like people at Fort Mill High School are getting very worked up about what other people do. Attending high school, people are going to tell others about their thoughts and how they think about things. This could be in person, or in some other way, but it should not affect how one acts. This should not, however, be a cause to be upset about it or to try and tell others about it. When people say things, they are just voicing their opinions, and that is fine. People have rights to their opinions, but when someone is listening to those opinions, it should not affect them.

People love to tell other people what they think about things. Voicing what one thinks is just what people do and there is no stopping that. The only thing that matters is how one reacts to it. No matter what people do or say, it is not going to have any effect on anyone else unless they want it to. This is why I’ve learned to keep to myself most of the time, unless something really needs to be said. There are many things that do not need to be said, because people know it or because they don’t want to. The point is this: if someone does something, or says something that annoys someone else, the worst thing said person could do is to react to it. There is no point, because it only causes problems.

This also goes for the opposite side of the conversation. There are certain things that do not need to be told to people, so they shouldn’t. This will not keep people from doing it, though. For some reason, people want to tell other people stuff that they don’t have to, or maybe want to, know. People should choose what they say wisely. If words are going to hurt other people, then they should just be kept to oneself. Stating your opinion is never worth harming another person.

In the end, nothing anyone does really makes a difference in another’s life. It is all in perspective. If someone chooses to let someone else bother them, then it will, but I think people should just try to leave each other alone. Try telling your close friends and family about your problems, or other people that bother you. Doing so will eliminate the effect you have on other people, and everyone can get back to doing what they want to do in their own lives.
